Street Workers

Street Workers

Since 2016, a series of studies and sketches have captured the vibrant lives of street workers and other everyday heroes—like artisan fishermen and transporters – across urban landscapes. These portraits vividly showcase workers in action, highlighting their struggle to survive within the larger consumption-driven economy. Survival often depends on resourcefulness, whether through selling goods, transporting people, or recycling materials. Each image – whether of vehicles, people, or specific scenes – offers a unique snapshot of these resilient individuals and the places they inhabit, ensuring their stories are not forgotten.”

This version tightens the language and adds a more active, engaging tone while emphasizing the themes of survival, resourcefulness, and the importance of these urban figures.
